The green puddle frog, also called the rough-skinned floating frog, pearly skin puddle frog or pointed-tongued floating frog, is a dicroglossid frog found across a wide stretch of Asia from Bangladesh and India to Indonesia, Hong Kong and Vietnam, and possibly Nepal. Its natural habitats include seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, rivers, swamps, marshes, ponds, irrigated land, flooded farmland, and canals and ditches (Wikipedia, general species account).

The frogs are also found in the pet trade. It may actually consist of separate species, and one author has argued for three: Java, southern China to northern Indochina, and southern Indochina to Myanmar (Wikipedia, general species account).
