The greater nectar bat, or greater dawn bat, is a megabat found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Its range is limited and includes scattered parts of Borneo such as Tuaran and Ranau in Sabah and Bau, Kuching and Bintulu in Sarawak. At Tawau Hills in Sabah, a pregnant female had a forearm of 81 mm and weighed 103 g, and a lactating female weighed 87.5 g (Wikipedia, general species account).
In surveys it was netted at sites with flowering banana plants on the edge between primary forest and open or secondary habitats. It usually roosts in caves and hollow trees, but little else is known of its ecology (Wikipedia, general species account).
