The Malayan peacock-pheasant, also known as the crested or Malaysian peacock-pheasant, is a medium-sized pheasant and one of the shortest-tailed peacock-pheasants. The closely related Bornean peacock-pheasant was formerly included here as a subspecies, but the species is now understood as monotypic (Wikipedia, general species account).
