The great roundleaf bat, or great Himalayan leaf-nosed bat, is a large leaf-nosed bat with a forearm up to 9.8 cm and a weight up to 60 g. It is similar to the intermediate roundleaf bat but larger, with four rather than three lateral accessory leaflets on each side of the main noseleaf. It is insectivorous, mainly eating beetles, butterflies and moths, flies and Hymenoptera, and has been seen foraging in cleared woodland, gardens, tree avenues and around street lights (Wikipedia, general species account).
It roosts alone or in small colonies in caves, house lofts, verandahs of old houses and old temples, sharing space with other bat species; in Southeast Asia it roosts in caves but forages far from them. It breeds once a year and gives birth to two young (Wikipedia, general species account).
